In several posts and in The Sleep Diet I discuss the power of Behavioral Sleep Medicine. I find the concepts of Sleep Restriction, Stimulus Control, and Sleep Hygiene to be most effective when coupled with Relaxation Therapy. Mindfulness is a very effective method of developing the relaxation response. Here are some YouTube links that I have found to be very informative.

Note:
I have a 1 hour link for a sleep meditation at the end. Why?
– The more effective one is at practicing mindfulness throughout the day, the better you can utilize it when you “need” it.
I have mindfulness for kids listed at the very end. Why?
– Once a parent has cultivated their relaxation response, they can then effectively introduce their child to these techniques.
