On The Horizon

Thank you for your support in Paradise Sleep.

The concepts that are discussed in Paradise Sleep are common problems that I have seen over the years that have affected sleep. In addition to this website there are other works on the horizon.

1. Pediatric Polysomnography. Encyclopedia of Sleep Science.
Elsevier. Publication is in 2013. The Encyclopedia of Sleep Science is an Elsevier text book for Sleep Medicine and other health care professionals. I was asked to write the chapter in Pediatric Polysomnography. There is no greater degree of learning then having to teach something.

2. The Sleep Diet, A Novel Approach to Insomnia NOW AVAILABLE
This book will be published by Halo Publishing Inc by 2014. It is a “Novel” approach to insomnia. The basis is about women with insomnia. I combine education of sleep science and prevention of insomnia. The basis of my book is two-fold.

3. Getting Children to Sleep
This is a book on how to get children to sleep. I find it interesting how a child can name the planets of the solar system, yet many parents think that REM sleep is deep sleep. Also, indeed poor sleep may lead to behavior problems. But many daytime behavior problems can also be the direct cause of poor sleep. In this book we debunk the myths of “Cry It Out” and help use the concepts of Pavlov’s Dog to getting children to sleep.

4. Paradise Sleep Children’s Books NOW AVAILABLE
100% inspired by my children. I realized early how children learn from stories, and it carries into daytime lessons as well. Brief stories with silly imagination help teach a child how to sleep on there own. But the gem of this series it that it also teaches parents about sleep science that will help them as well.

5. Calendar Series
Teaming up with gifted photographer and mother Jenifer Schmucker of Making Memories Portraits Inc to produce calenders with beautiful images of children and families. Each picture in itself sets the imagination to future, as well as sets our memories to the innocence of a child. Each month there are sleep tips that will benefit your lifetime.

6. Portrait Series
Another collaborative effort with Making Memories. This book of portraits captures the imagination of the child, both the well rested and the tantrums. This also has the gem of sleep science education for all the family to sleep. There is a special edition of Pregnancy and Sleep that is guided to help the expecting mother sleep better as well as prepare her for how to help her newborn infant sleep in the future.

Again, thanks to everyone for supporting Paradise Sleep. A healthy child needs a healthy family.
